Our Purpose

After going from painfully disconnecting from her loved one following treatment models focused on codependency and hit rock bottom mentalities, Dr. Adena found new ways to reconnect and help her loved one.

She helps Family Members and Friends of People who Misuse Substances overcome the confusion about drugs and the disconnection with their loved ones in a light-hearted way by speaking about her own experiences and drugs in general on multiple platforms.

She explains misused drugs and talks about healthier alternatives while having fun in the process and having a light hearted and loving focus around the subject.

She hopes this approach may lead to a more joyous, healthier, and harmonious life together with your loved one no matter where they are in their own walk with their Substance Misuse.

This is not a treatment approach or facility for Substance Use Disorder.

Dr. Adena’s Story

I watched the opioid crisis unfold right in front of my eyes as a pharmacist. I then painfully watched how it developed in my loved one.

After 15 years of following expert advice on letting him hit rock bottom & codependency, I ended up cutting off all contact with him per experts in the treatment facilities.

I found myself grieving over the loss of my loved one, although he was still alive and in jail.

After grieving for six months, I had an epiphany.

I thought," Why in the world am I grieving someone who is still alive?

I love him so much. Is hitting rock-bottom really the answer?

If so, then why are there so many overdose deaths & families broken apart, jails overcrowded, & drug users who have become homeless?”

I researched other countries and found how different their way of dealing with substance misuse is. I found new experts with a fresh perspective that heals the relationship and focuses on stabilization, harm reduction, crime reduction.

I want to share all of these new data I found & my expertise on drugs with you, and how I build a loving relationship with my loved one.

So you can understand the drugs better, & hence cultivate a better relationship & hopefully get your loved one back.

I want to do it with fun and joy. I understand that it is a very hurtful topic since it can cause death, division, and destruction. That is why I want to lighten up the mood and bring a little joy into your lives. Let's all bring in the positive so we can change the negative outcomes.

Every one of you has a diamond that sparkles within and is eager to grow and make its way into the world.

I would love to meet all of you with all of my heart.

Here is a little about me.

I love to travel the world and have tons of fun with people from many different walks of life.

I love convertible drives at the Beach, blasting music, and watching the stars at night light up the sky.

I love seeing what’s best in people and encouraging them to take that and multiply their awesomeness and spread it into the world and put a little dance and joy into it.

I love having a glass of wine with people and listening to their life stories.

God is a daily part of my life. He brings inspiration, wisdom, guidance, joy, peace, and love into my life. He helps me to continue to do the work I do to the best of my capabilities and with pleasure and fun.

With lots of Love,
